"Cypress Solitude" is a landscape of a beautiful cypress swamp. Dad and I fished in the bayous of the great Atchafalaya Basin. This scene is typical of what we would see while fishing in Two O'Clock Bayou and Bayou Courtableu. I remember majestic cypress trees, the sounds of birds singing, frogs croaking, white egrets and herons hunting patiently for fish and crawfish. Those experiences alone were worth the trip to the bayou, even if we did not catch anything. We made so many great memories together. The peace and serenity that we experienced through God"s creation brought an awareness of the Creator to our hearts.
